Editors
As an editor you’ll proofread drafts and copy to ensure that the content we publish is concise, understandable, and grammatically accurate. You may also assist journalists in understanding and interpreting how the Journalistic Standards & Independence Policy applies to their work. From time to time you may also write stories, verify sources and source material, assist the journalists, and practise journalism. The final decision of news content is made by the news director, and as an editor you will have great influence over composition. If you’re passionate about English or teaching, or you have experience as a copy editor, this may be a great opportunity for you. This is a volunteer position to start with no time minimums or set requirements. If the project is successful our goal is to provide paid employment with group benefits to our volunteer staff as soon as possible.
