About Us

In 2015 our team launched the Facebook Group Kamloops 24 Hour Auction. Two other auction sites already existed, but we wanted to create a fair, inclusive and fun to use Group. We quickly grew to be the biggest auction group in town. We listened to your feedback and made some bold changes along the way. Because of this we quickly became the biggest sales group. Today, we’ve grown to be the largest Facebook group in Kamloops. We have Membership of over 63,000 in Group 1, and 24,000 in Group 2. Our groups have over 40,000 and 14,000 active Members, respectively.

As a result of the success of the groups, our 2026 New Years Resolution was to take a new step forward. We’re launching Kamloops 24 Hours as a fair, open, and independent site that will cover events, arts, culture, counterculture, news, sports, and local stories that matter. It will also help us grow and maintain Kamloops 24 Hour Auction on Facebook. We look forward to working with small and medium sized local business to help them grow with us.

We started Kamloops 24 Hour Auction with a detailed Membership Charter which set out the rights, rules and expectations for the Group Members and Admin. We’ve done something similar with Kamloops 24 Hours by introducing rigorous Journalistic Standards. This will guide us on how to tell stories in a fair, honest, and respectful manner, while at the same time fiercely protecting our independence.

We look forward to bringing a fresh perspective to the events that happen, and the issues that face our amazing city, Kamloops. In time we hope to earn your trust as a reliable source of important local content. Thank you very much for joining us on this part of our journey, and welcome to Kamloops 24 Hours!
