Opinions

Opinions shall always be clearly marked as such. Opinions should not incite violence, hate, or violate the social contract. Opinions should articulate an idea, ideal or stance on a subject matter. When we publish the opinions of others we ensure they do not; misrepresent someone else’s position or statement, violate our JS&IP, or violate the law. Diverse opinions that conform to societal norms and decency should be freely encouraged and disseminated.

News

News shall always be marked as such. News needs to be prepared and published to our rigorous standards set out here in our JS&IP. News must be in the public’s interest and their right to know. News should set out clear facts and seek to give Subjects a chance to reply. News should come from Sources providing information on the record.

Whether our content is News, Opinion, advertising or anything else, we commit to achieve accuracy, integrity, decency, balance, and independence.
